Availity Updates: Remittance Viewer and Plan Availability

    Here are a couple of key updates related to our recent Availity secure provider portal launch.

    Individual and Medicare Advantage Plans not served through Availity
    Transactions for Individual Plan and Medicare Advantage plan members aren’t available through Availity. All transactions for Individual Plan members should continue to go through the secure (Evolent) Premera Individual Plan provider website.
    Note: You can always do a HIPAA standard transaction for Blue plans through Availity, but the information that displays is limited.

    If you usually sign in through OneHealthPort, you’ll find these links there as well.

    Remittance Viewer, Claims Status
    Remittance Viewer currently has six months of payment information available. Claims Status has two years of data available. We’re continuing to load payment information until we have two years’ worth of data. Depending on who your clearinghouse is, you could possibly see the additional check information in Remittance Viewer.
    Note: If you’re looking for an EOP prior to six months, sign in to Premera’s secure provider portal at premera.com.

    How to Check EOPs
    To see your check and EOP information that we submit to Availity, you’ll first need to validate a check from Premera; the check must be within the last 30 days. Then you’ll be able to see the check information and EOPs for Premera business. Check information and EOPs for the Federal Employees Program (FEP) is available when you select the payer option, “Other Blue Plans Premera BlueExchange (FEP, Shared Admin).” Information for Individual and Medicare Advantage plans is not available through Availity.
