Provider Directory Notice: Check Your Status with BetterDoctor

    The federal No Surprises Act now requires Premera Blue Cross HMO to verify the accuracy of provider information every 90 days and remove unverified providers from our provider directory. We removed unverified providers from the directory in July 2023 and will remove the next group of unverified providers by early November 2023.

    To help make verification easy for you, Premera is using the BetterDoctor online portal from Quest Analytics.

    Here’s what you need to know about BetterDoctor and verifying your information with Premera:

    • Respond to all requests from BetterDoctor to verify your provider information. BetterDoctor may contact you by fax, mail, email, and/or telephone to request a review once a quarter.

    • You and/or your practice should have already received information from BetterDoctor about how to set up an account.

    • If you’ve yet to be contacted by BetterDoctor on behalf of Premera, BetterDoctor may be unable to reach because you’ve previously opted out of receiving their communications. Going forward, you and/or your practice will no longer be able to opt out of communications from BetterDoctor.

    • To learn more about your opt-out status, contact BetterDoctor at mailto:msupport@betterdoctor.com or by phone at 844-668-2543, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pacific Time.

    • The information BetterDoctor needs is the public information Premera members use to find care, such as specialties, phone numbers, locations, and network status.

    To be added back to the provider directory, please contact BetterDoctor to update your information.
