Because of the high degree of self-management required for asthma control, Premera is sending a mailer to educate and remind members with asthma of the importance of the multiple components involved in controlling their asthma.
The mailing encourages members to:
- Take asthma medications as prescribed
- Get an annual flu shot
- Schedule regular visits with a provider
- Develop an asthma action plan with their provider
