The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recently issued new guidelines for prescribing opioids. We sent letters to providers that had prescribed an opioid for a patient within the past 90 days. In that letter, we incorrectly said that Morphine Sulfate ER (Avinza) had a prescription limit of 90 capsules of all strengths per 30 days. The correct quantity allowed without review is 60 capsules of all strengths per 30 days. We apologize for our error. For more information about opioid quantity limits, review our policy.
