By adding comments to a corrected claim submission, you’re helping identify what changes are being made from the previous submission. This allows our team to quickly and accurately adjust your corrected claim. Notes can be added for any reason but must specifically be added to a corrected claim.
Below are examples:
- For professional and dental claims: Segment NTE01 must contain 'ADD' and segment NTE02 must contain the note. Example of electronic data: NTE*ADD*CORRECTED PROCEDURE CODE
- For institutional claims: Segment NTE01 must contain 'ADD' and segment NTE02 must contain the note. Example of electronic data: NTE*ADD*CORRECTED LAB CHARGES
