We have a few important changes to share with you regarding the plans we’ll offer on the Alaska Health Insurance Exchange for 2020.
First, we’re changing the network names for Alaska individual plans from AK Heritage and Dental Choice to Legacy and Dental Select. These are name changes only that will be listed on our individual plan members’ ID cards. The new Legacy and Dental Select networks will reimburse based on your current contract with Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alaska.
New vendor for our new individual plans
To help us manage our new individual plans, we’ve hired Evolent Health to handle administrative functions. Some of these functions will include customer service, claims, care management, and our secure member and provider websites.
As we get closer to 2020, we’ll share more details about our new plans and the important changes you’ll need to know to help us care for our individual members.
