Some of our Medicare Advantage (MA) members are getting turned away from Kroger pharmacies for their prescription fills. This includes Fred Meyer and QFC pharmacies. Please tell your patients that Kroger pharmacies ARE in network for our MA plans.
Kroger recently ended their contract with Express Scripts, which is the pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) for many Premera plans. Premera MA plans use CVS pharmacy as the PBM, and Kroger is in-network for MA.
If you’re patients have questions, tell them to call the customer service number on the back of the ID card. They can also find all in-network pharmacies for our MA plans on the Medicare Advantage Pharmacy resource page.
