Hearing Care Solutions (HCS) will start managing services related to testing and fitting of hearing aids for Premera Medicare Advantage Alpine (HMO), Charter + Rx (HMO), Peak + Rx (HMO), and Sound + Rx (HMO) plans only. Other Premera Medicare Advantage plans have different hearing benefits, so it’s important to check the member’s plan before providing hearing services. Here are five important things to know about HCS:
- Hearing Care Solutions (HCS) will coordinate all services related to testing and fitting of hearing aids for members on some Premera Medicare Advantage plans.
- To take advantage of this benefit, members need to see a HCS network provider and contact HCS directly to make appointments with HCS network providers.
- This benefit is separate from the diagnostic hearing exam covered by Medicare.
- If you’re a hearing specialist not in the HCS network, you won’t be reimbursed for services if you see one of our members with this benefit. You must be part of HCS’s network.
