Premera is sending letters to notify our Medicare Advantage members of select diabetic and cancer screenings they have not yet completed this year. The purpose of the letter is to recommend care and encourage members to schedule an appointment with their primary care provider. These letters will be sent this summer and fall, and will show which screenings the member has completed. It’ll also list which screenings should still be completed before the end of 2019. Educational flyers about the importance of breast cancer screening, colorectal cancer screening, and managing diabetes will be included, as applicable.
