In-Home Bone Density Screenings

  • May 18, 2017

Following a broken bone, it can be difficult to encourage patients to receive a much-needed bone density screening. Bone density screenings help detect if patients are at risk for osteoporosis and if it has contributed to the fracture. We're working with our partner MedXM again to perform in-home bone mineral density screenings for some of our Medicare Advantage customers.

    How does the screening work?

A licensed and credentialed MedXM technician performs a simple and quick bone mineral density test in the comfort of the member's home. Both the member and their provider will receive the results from the screening. MedXM technicians do not treat or prescribe medications to members. Providers are encouraged to follow up with MedXM with any questions or concerns.
