Affinity Program FAQ

  • No. Your PremeraFirst contract for covered services is still active. We're only terminating the Affinity Program portion of our agreement. This means your current reimbursement isn't changing and you'll continue to be an in-network provider for all lines of business that you participate in.

The Affinity Program was created as an optional discount program for non-covered services. Alternative care providers (such as chiropractic, licensed acupuncturists, licensed massage therapists, naturopathic physicians, dietetic and nutrition services) who elected to participate in the program agreed to accept a specific discount off non-covered services.

Refer to your PremeraFirst Provider Agreement Compensation Exhibit B Affinity Program for details about the program.

This program only applies to non-covered services. Because providers can offer a discount for non-covered services at their own discretion, this program isn't necessary.

We're ending the Affinity Program effective Nov. 1, 2017

No, we're just notifying you that we're ending the program effective Nov. 1, 2017.

Yes. You can discuss those discounts with your patients and there's no need to notify Premera.
