W-2 Required for Groups With One or Two Subscribers

For employers with one or two subscribers

If you have a plan renewal date starting April 1, 2019, or later and have just one or two employees, you must attest that your business meets the Washington Office of Insurance Commissioner (OIC) definition of a small group. You must also provide a copy of the most recent W-2 for at least one enrolled employee.

This information is required prior to issuing your renewal.

How we are making this process easy

You will receive a copy of the Small Group Attestation form in your renewal packet along with instructions that will remind you what you need to provide and how.

Renewal packets go out approximately 60 days in advance of your renewal date. For example, if your renewal date is April 1, 2019, your renewal packet went out on January 31.

What if my business no longer meets the OIC’s definition of a small group?

If you are no longer eligible to participate in the small group market, check out the variety of plans we offer through our Premera individual health plans.

Don’t hesitate to ask your producer if you need help or have any questions.
