    Members Matter is a pilot feedback program committed to connecting with members to understand their experiences with Premera Blue Cross. As a company, Premera really wants to listen to and learn from members so they can create better experiences overall. Participation is completely voluntary and won't affect current or future health plans.

    What is Members Matter? Why is it important?

    A pilot feedback program committed to connecting with members to understand their experiences with Premera. As a company, Premera really wants to listen to and learn from members so they can create better experiences overall. Participation is completely voluntary and won’t affect current or future health plans.

    What is the communications plan for Members Matter?

    Through mail and email, the small group account team will communicate with 4,382 members over the age of 18 years. To understand which communications method is most effective, the Premera Members Matter team will separate the 4,382 members into three groups:

                                        Group 1 (mailer):                    1,461 members

                                        Group 2 (email):                     1,461 members          

                                        Group 3 (email and mailer):     1,460 members

    These communications will be sent out in the fourth week of August, and we anticipate questions will pop up throughout the month of September.

    How do people sign up?

    It’s easy. Individuals can contact Members Matter by replying to the business reply, clicking the link in the email, or calling by phone. They would then be directed to a Members Matter specialist, who would talk them through the ins and outs of the program. From what I understand, it’s easy.

    How long is the pilot going to last?

    Officially, the pilot will begin when the mailers are sent out on Thursday, September 9, 2021, and emails sent on Monday, September 13, 2021. We anticipate that members will begin reaching out to you with questions as soon as they receive either the mail, email, or both. Please direct any inquiries from members to us by providing the contact information listed above.

    Currently, there is no end date to the pilot. Depending on the program’s success, Premera may try to recruit more individuals in 2022. If that is the case, we will update you on our communications processes at that time.
