Useful Information for Individual Clients Waiting on ID Cards

    If your individual client hasn’t received their member ID card in the mail yet, here’s some helpful information they can use in the meantime.

    General ID card numbers

    Only member ID numbers are unique to individuals with Premera Blue Cross plans. All other ID card numbers are the same for all members.

    Your clients can use the following ID card information for doctor visits or prescription medications while waiting for their physical card to come in the mail.

    Temporary ID cards

    Your clients can also print off their own temporary ID cards by creating a new online account and signing in to the secure member website.

    Note: As of 2020, we have a new secure website for individual clients. New, returning, and grandfathered members will all need to create a new online account to print off their temporary ID cards and see their personal health plan details. If your individual clients sign in to their previous premera.com account, they will only see past claims information from 2019 and earlier – 2020 health plan information will not be included.

    The Premera mobile app is also no longer an option for your individual clients to view their 2020 ID card or health plan information. Same as their previous premera.com account, they will only see past claims information from 2019 and earlier. 2020 health plan details will not be included.
