In 2017 Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alaska moved to a per member per month (PMPM) commission on medical, vision, and dental enrollment for small group. We’ve heard from small group producers that over time, this commission hasn’t kept up with inflation and the complex and intense work required for small group business.
Beginning January 1, 2024, Premera will implement a $5 PMPM commission increase on medical enrollment. Vision and dental commission will remain the same.
