Last week we shared the retirement of Lynn Rust Henderson, Vice President Sales, Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alaska. Lynn has lived and worked in Anchorage for the last 10 years, leading our Alaska group sales and sales support teams.

Under Lynn’s leadership, Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alaska has become a strong competitor in the large-group market, achieving record market growth. Lynn has been a respected and active leader in her community, supporting many organizations such as Alaskans for Sustainable Healthcare Costs, The American Heart Association, Anchorage Economic Development Corporation, Volunteers of America, and Covenant House Alaska. We have greatly valued Lynn’s commitment to the Alaska market and Premera’s Alaska sales team.

Premera has been proud to serve Alaskans since 1952 and we’ll continue to do so with our existing team of talented and committed individuals, which include our Senior Sales Managers, Nadja Hipszer and Brad Olson.

Nadja Hipszer will continue selling new business groups 500+ employees and managing the large-group account management team assigned to groups of 100+. She will serve as sales lead for large group, middle market, and Optiflex, and will assume several other market responsibilities.

Brad Olson will continue selling new business up to 499 employees and managing the account management team assigned to groups of 1- 99 employees. In addition to his current duties, Brad will serve as the market-sales lead for small group and merit lines of business, will lead Alaska channel distribution strategy, and will serve as logistics point-of-contact for our Anchorage office.

Sydney Saitta will continue to serve as the primary point of contact for Alaska Sales Support and Service. She and her team will be assisting Brad and Nadja in providing sales support and market readiness for all our Alaska group lines of business.

We wish Lynn and her husband, Bob, good health, and happiness in the next phase of their journey. Lynn’s last day at Premera will be January 1, 2021. We appreciate your business and your trust. Brad, Nadja, Sydney, as well as the full Alaska team, are committed to helping our local clients remain strong during these challenging times.
