Describe your role at Premera: I work with brokers and various departments throughout Premera to make sure groups with our health plans get the specific benefit designs they purchased and answer any questions they may have. Group by group, I help make healthcare work better.
How long have you worked at Premera? I’ve been with Premera 8 years.
What drew you to the healthcare industry? I’m customer service obsessed and have always loved the medical field. I’m glad I took the leap to work at Premera because it’s a perfect fit.
What is your favorite part of working at Premera? We are a huge family.
How do you passionately advocate for our customers? I put myself in their shoes. I think everyone here at Premera does. Going to see a doctor can be overwhelming and the last thing someone wants to think about is their coverage. I enjoy providing that peace of mind, so members can sleep at night.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? The advice I give my kids and live by–have fun, try your best, and be a team player.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? Being with my family. As a family, we enjoy trying new things, taking road trips, and anything Disney. We recently took a road trip to a drive-in theater to watch the new Lion King. I also enjoy writing Yelp reviews.
