Some positive updates have been made to streamline the sales confirmation process.
Starting September 1 for January 1 effective dates, Benefits Summary Reports (BSRs) will no longer require signatures for any group size. An attestation is being added to the WA and AK fully insured and self-funded rate exhibits stating that the signatory has reviewed the associated plan design documents and is authorized to sign on behalf of the group.
It is important to note that to meet legal requirements when the rate sheet is returned to Premera, the benefit document that was reviewed and approved must be attached to the email together with the rate sheet. However, it no longer needs to be signed directly. This won't impact packages that are currently in the market.
