When Premera announced its collaboration with Kinwell Medical Group in January 2022, the goal was to help expand access to primary care in Washington state. Over the past several weeks we have seen more Premera members take advantage of Kinwell to access high quality primary care both in-person and virtually.
In the second week of November, Kinwell scheduled over 500 appointments across its 16 locations. More than half of these appointments were conducted within 48 hours of booking, making Kinwell highly accessible without it feeling like the conveyer belt of healthcare. In post-visit surveys, members find their care team takes time to listen to their concerns and the clinic provides a calming and welcoming atmosphere. One member said,
“It's a very welcoming clinic. The environment is fresh and comfortable. The staff was very professional and nice. The primary doctor I met was kind, emphatic, competent, and most of all I felt heard.”
