  • Balancing family needs

  • Managing health care is an important part of the family balancing act, from routine check-ups to childhood illnesses to the occasional sports injury. If you’re looking to simplify your health care experience, the Health Connect Plan may be right for you. The plan is designed to give you access to a select group of providers—including your PCPs—who will help coordinate care for you, with the added bonus of predictable costs.

See if your family’s preferred providers are in the network

Families can use a variety of different providers, including primary care providers, pediatricians, and specialists. The Health Connect Plan offers access to a broad range of network providers on the Eastside, including Allegro Pediatrics. If the providers you and your family see today are part of the Health Connect network, this plan may work well for you. Be sure to check the current providers for every family member to see if they are in the Health Connect network.

    Also consider:

The needs of family who live out of the area

Family members who live away from home, such as kids attending college, also need easy access to health care. Health Connect network providers are available only on the Puget Sound’s Eastside. So if you’re covering one or more family members outside the area, you may want to consider if they need regular medical care and if the benefits provided under the Extended network are adequate (typically with higher out-of-pocket costs), or if the Health Savings Plan may be a better alternative.

How the plan may save you time

Reducing the time it takes to manage your family’s health care can help balance work and family responsibilities. The Health Connect Plan features convenient copays for many common services, which may lead to fewer follow-up bills to review and pay. And the Health Connect Navigator can help you find providers, make appointments, answer questions about the plan, and more.
