Beginning July 1, 2021, Premera Blue Cross is implementing updates for new and existing prior authorizations. The rosacea drug in the table below will require prior authorization.

How we are notifying your clients
Employers will be notified of the prior authorization updates in next week's Employer News communication.
Impacted members will receive a letter in the mail this month, May 2021, notifying them of the change. Preferred alternative drugs are available, and we are encouraging members to talk to their doctor to discuss their options and
address any questions or concerns they may have.
