On January 1, 2023, Premera is launching Premera HMO Core Plus (HMO) for residents of Washington state in Pierce, Thurston, and Spokane counties. Our forward-thinking HMO managed plan improves the member’s experience while strengthening the employer’s bottom line.
The HMO plan allows Premera to offer our lowest-cost health plan to save employers as much as 15% compared to traditional PPO plans. The HMO health plan is committed to focusing on whole-person care and improving care quality. The plan includes:
- Provider-guided care– PCPs guide members through comprehensive care by helping them navigate the healthcare system.
- Seamless customer service – HMO-dedicated customer service team to assist providers and members with HMO-specific questions.
- Whole-person approach to care – Premera aids members in staying healthy through proactive engagement and care coordination.
- A streamlined digital experience – Digital tools that assist the HMO member by giving them more control to manage their healthcare.
- A growing network – A stable and ever-expanding list of provider partners, starting with MultiCare Health System in Pierce, Thurston, and Spokane counties with further expansion planned in 2024.
- Pharmacy – Low copays for Tier 1 and 2 drugs and dedicated support for members’ pharmacy needs.
