We are striving to apply greater focus on our Washington and Alaska Group business. These are commercial accounts of 5,000 employees or less. To improve overall consistency and performance, we have named Jim Grazko senior vice president of Washington and Alaska Group Markets. Jim is a 23-year Premera veteran who has spent the last eight years running our Alaska market and leading the company’s Underwriting division.
The Alaska sales team, led by Director Nadja Hipszer, will join Washington sales leadership David Condon, Rick Grover, Ben Helsel, Charlie Kunz and Kelly McCuistion in reporting to Jim. Jim Havens, former Washington Group SVP, left Premera Monday and we wish him all the best.
Dave Braza, executive vice president of Healthcare Informatics and chief actuary for Premera, will assume leadership of Underwriting.
These changes won’t immediately impact your day-to-day dealings with Premera. Over time, though, we expect you’ll experience a more efficient and consistent Premera, better able to meet the fast-changing needs of you and your clients.
