WEA Select Medical Plan enrollees now access the online health and wellness tools in the secure pages of the Premera web site. To access the program, enrollees will need to log in* to their Premera account and select the Stay Healthy link on the left-hand side of the home page.

The ACA requires employers to provide each employee with a written notice containing the information regarding exchanges, and possible subsidies available when purchasing individual coverage through a public exchange. The Department of Labor (DOL) provides the document template. Districts will have to modify the template based on group or bargaining unit offerings. For more information, please go to the DOL site. As a point of information, the WEA plans meet the “minimum value” standard for 2013-14 coverage as referenced in Part B, Question 14, of the template.

The WEA Select Wellness Programs are available 24/7 to subscribers on the WEA Select Medical Plans; their spouses; and covered dependents age 18 and over. The online suite of tools is designed to inform participants about health conditions, raise awareness of health habits that could be changed to enhance their well-being, and encourage them to think about their lifestyle choices.
