You can count on your Customer Service team to help you get the most out of your Medicare Advantage coverage. Here are answers to common questions you may have.

I enrolled in a Premera Medicare Advantage plan but did not receive my member ID card. When should I receive it?

Premera mails your member ID card when we confirm your enrollment. You'll typically receive it seven to 10 business days after it's mailed. Your member ID card is mailed in a white envelope marked with “Important Plan Information” on the outside and is sent separately from your new member welcome packet. 

You can request a new member ID card if you haven't yet received it or misplaced it. To do so, you can log into your secure member account on premera.com/ma or call Premera Medicare Advantage Customer Service at 888-850-8525 (TTY: 711). All of our participating healthcare providers can verify your membership when you check in, so don't worry if you need care and are still waiting for your member ID card to arrive in the mail.

The open enrollment period is closed now. Do I have to wait until next fall to enroll in the optional preventive dental plan?

You still have time to add preventive dental coverage to the HMO plan! You can add the optional preventive dental coverage within 60 calendar days of the first start date of your Premera Blue Cross Medicare Advantage HMO plan. Your new dental coverage is effective the first of the month following the date we receive your completed optional dental enrollment form. To enroll, call Premera Medicare Advantage Plans at 888-868-7767 (TTY: 711). Preventive dental coverage is already included with the HMO-POS and HMO Plus plans.

How do I get started on the SilverSneakers Fitness program?

Members enrolled in the HMO-POS and HMO Plus plans get a free membership with SilverSneakers® Fitness along with their Medicare Advantage coverage. Choose from thousands of popular gyms and fitness clubs, including 24 Hour Fitness, YMCA and Curves. You'll receive your SilverSneakers ID card in the mail this month. Once you're enrolled in SilverSneakers, you can work out at any of their facilities across the country.
