Starting in January, Claims Editor and Facets, our claim processing system, will have the 2019 code updates for CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 CM diagnosis and ICD-10 PCS procedure codes.
These code updates will include the new codes, deletions, and description revisions. Make sure your office billing systems/electronic health records have these updates. If you use codebooks, use the 2019 editions and keep your 2018 editions for reference for outstanding claims.
The Claims Editor and Facets claims application will also be updated quarterly as code updates are released by American Medical Association (CPT Codes), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (HCPCS codes), and National Center for Health Statistics (ICD-10 CM and PCS codes).
Throughout 2019, the Claims Editor will be updated monthly for new edits, changes to codes, updates to NCCI and MUE edits, and other updates.
