Starting June 9, 2019, routine blood draws/venipunctures (CPT code 36415) will no longer be separately reimbursed when it’s billed on the same date of service as an Evaluation and Management (E&M) office visit by the same provider or provider group. Modifiers 59, XS, XP, XE or XU will not override the claims edit.
