Well-child visits are crucial to children receiving timely care and vaccines. Parents aren’t always aware of the need for a well-child visit, or what should be covered at each visit.
To help parents and guardians better understand the need for well-child visits, Premera’s quality member engagement team sent a brochure to the parents and/or guardians of 158 members between 0-12 months of age. The brochure includes the schedule of well-child visits recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and Bright Futures, key topics that will be discussed at each visit, and the CDC’s birth to 15 months recommended vaccine schedule. We encourage you to reach out to your patients who may need a well-child visit to schedule an appointment.
