Premera recently updated the online "Find a Doctor" tool to increase transparency about efficiency and cost to help our members select the right healthcare provider. In addition to filtering by cost, members can also search for providers by network, type/specialty, and geography.
What’s new?
- Easy-to-find, lower-cost care: When a member searches for a provider, the Find a Doctor tool displays the lower-cost, in-network providers at the top. If a member looks up the cost of a medical service and selects a higher-cost option, there’ll be an immediate alert on the web page that a lower-cost option is available.
- More dental providers nationwide: Our national dental network expanded by approximately 10,000 providers on June 1, 2018. Members can now find these new dental providers (and all dental providers) with the Find a Doctor tool.
- Keep your information up to date: It’s important to keep key information about you and your practice up to date including your location, networks you participate in, and availability for taking new patients.
