Premera customers will have access to Grand Rounds, a service that offers case reviews
and expert medical guidance from top providers, starting March 1, 2019. Grand Rounds only reviews cases for musculoskeletal, digestive system, and nervous system conditions.
Your Premera patients may start to request case reviews from Grand Rounds, which requires sending the patient’s medical records to Grand Rounds by mail, email, or secure fax. Grand Rounds will contact your office directly and walk you through the process of how to transfer records. They’ll also manage the digitalization of all records if you send by mail or fax.
Grand Rounds typically provides the medical guidance within 3-4 weeks of the patient’s initial request. The report the patient receives includes the reviewing expert’s medical background, answers to any patient questions, medical guidance, and links to additional resources.
