You may be receiving more calls from patients and Premera’s clinical case managers about scheduling preventive dental visits.
In March, our case management team began identifying some of our members who would benefit from preventive dental care. We contacted certain members with high-risk medical conditions who didn’t have preventive dental claims on file for the past year. Case managers call these members and offer to answer benefits questions, help find in-network dentists, and schedule appointments.
We’ll be expanding this outreach to more members, as part of our support of the connection between oral health and whole health.
