Premera Blue Cross announced plans to acquire Catholic Health Initiative’s Soundpath Health’s Medicare Advantage contract, effective January 1, 2019. Soundpath Health currently serves more than 22,000 customers in Washington state. The announced acquisition is subject to approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
- For 2018, there’s no impact to you or your Soundpath Health patients. They will continue to use their existing Soundpath Health ID card and benefits and you’ll continue to work with Southpath to get the information you need to care for these patients.
- Claims for services through December 31, 2018, will continue to be sent to Soundpath Health for processing and payment.
- If you’re not currently contracted with Premera Blue Cross, we encourage you to submit your credentials. You can access credentialing requirements through our website. You’ll need to allow 60 days for processing.
