On April 21, 2020, Premera expanded telehealth access options for mental health and substance use disorder with three additional in-network providers to help support members during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to new providers, Premera added new covered services for care delivered virtually. Telehealth is now covered for:
Members may begin treatment with existing in-network providers or our new telehealth providers without a referral. Access to these new resources runs April 16 to June 30, 2020, with the potential to extend the duration based on business and epidemiological considerations. Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, FEP, Shared Administration, and self-funded groups that opt-out aren't eligible for this network expansion.
