New eviCore CorePath Online System

  • February 1, 2018

On January 26, eviCore healthcare implemented a new therapy authorization model called corePath. corePath streamlines the current medical necessity review process and makes it easier for provider offices to make requests.

    eviCore healthcare designed corePath to:

    • Reduce administrative burden on providers and their staff
    • Provide recommendations on allocated physical therapy visits based on the severity of the member's condition and functional loss
    • Empower providers with the ability to identify attributes that are unique to a specific member's condition
    • Reduce the amount of clinical information required to request a medical necessity review
    • Integrate professionally accepted functional outcome measures, using validated measurement tools such as the Oswestry Disability Index and the Neck Disability Index

We've posted an online-recorded training session as a resource to ensure a smooth transition to the new corePath process. The training session includes:

    • corePath system overview
    • Pathways: Requirements for initial and follow-up requests
    • corePath forms

Your opinion matters to us. You'll receive an emailed survey this spring requesting feedback about your experience using the corePath model. We'll use your feedback to assist in continuing to provide quality programs aimed at creating a better experience for you.
